Our church was damaged...

Shell Creek Lutheran Shell Creek Church suffered a fire during the 2003 Christmas holiday. While the church was unoccupied, a candle melted through a table, burned through carpeting, then charred a basement wall. Although direct fire loss was confined to the basement, smoke and soot caused extensive damage throughout the building.

Cleanup and repairs cost us dearly in time and money. We are thankful that insurance covered many cleaning expenses and replacements for major basement damage.

But damage from smoke and soot was so extensive that we had to clean and paint the whole interior and replace nearly all carpets, window coverings, banners and supplies.

Members and friends of Shell Creek Lutheran have been most generous with volunteer help and money donations. Because of their hard work and contributions, the interior has been restored and Shell Creek Lutheran is again our treasured center for celebration and worship.
